My daughter is 6 years old and she enjoys this program. Artistic talents of Virginie and the games children play make classes real fun.  Another plus of the school is that each student receives personal attention during group classes. My girl has started writing in French recently, and her vocabulary is noticeably growing.

My daughter enjoys taking French at The French School of New York City. Classes are small and very personal. Our teacher really works with the children to find out what the children enjoy & then incorporates it into the class. They are very creative with their learning style as they use games, toys, music & drawing to learn the language. The "relaxed" classroom is a benefit as the kids come from school and can move around to different activities. We are happy with her level of archievement & feel lucky our daughter can have the opportunity to learn a language in such a fun way with a native speaker.

My five-year-old son sits on the couch with his voice recorder and plays the lessons for himself.  He often names things in French and likes to play French word games with me.  We are thrilled with his progress after just one session.

The teaching methods in this class are unlike those I've seen at other places, including the Alliance Francaise and the Language Workshop. Both my 6-year-old and I are currently enrolled. My daughter doesn't whine about doing a language course anymore.

I am currently enrolled at the French School of NYC, and I love it! I get to speak, converse and practice French in every class as well as practicing my writing. I just got back from France and I am so glad I chose this school. I understood 75 percent of what French speakers were saying and I am still considered a beginner-intermediate student. The classes are fun and very interactive. They teach the way French people really speak. Highly recommended!

I was a private student at the French School and it was a very positive experience. I found the teaching style to be unique in that it was informal and playful while still getting the necessary information across. The teaching was also individualized for my particular learning style as opposed to simplyl following a set formula. The French School is a progressive language school. It made learning French feel fun and easy.
