Find below the information about our Fun Summer Camp!
Active French offers a
French Summer Camp for 4 to 11 year olds. In this camp your child will
enjoy
learning and practicing French in a fun and creative way. Most of our
activities will be outdoors in
the wonderful Central Park or indoors in our
Central Park West location when the weather does not
allow us to be outside.
Our summer camp will educate and entertain
your children through activities such as acting, singing,
drawing, painting,
creating books and playing games all in French. Groups are divided by age and
levels,
and are small enough to ensure that every child will be able to speak
and converse in French. The goal is
to enjoy the summer while learning.
Our
Program:
Drop off at 9:30am. Early drop off
and/or a possibility for neighborhood/your location pick up are available
for
an additional cost.
Note: All
drop off & pick up are at the same location, at our UWS location on
Central Park W. #5M
(on raining day) or south of the 400 CPW
bulding in play ground (on sunny days).
- Morning session (9:30 – 12:30):
-Start with fun exercises/brain gym routine to have a fresh start.-Followed by discovering new vocabulary
while exploring the park.
-Playing action games, drawing and crafting.
-Swimming at Central Park Lasker Pool (optional).
-Role playing and acting in French using props.
-And more other fun activities.
- Lunch (12:30 – 1:30): French Picnic in Central Park or indoors depending on the weather (bring your own meal).
- Afternoon session (1:30 – 4:30 or 5:30):
-Role playing and acting in French using props continues.
-Swimming at Central Park Lasker Pool (Optional)
-Playing action games, drawing and crafting.
-Discovering new vocabulary while exploring the park
-And more other fun activities.
Pick up at 4:30 or 5:30pm
Extra hours:
Garderie and/or a
possibility for a drop off service after 5:30pm are available for additional
cost.

Kids
that will participate in the swimming pool activity (optional) must have a bathing suit
(ideally worn under clothes to save time) or floating swimwear for the ones who do not know
how to
swim yet, and a towel/pareo (recommended, lighter and dry faster).
Changing clothes, water and water proof sunscreen is
a must for all participants.
